Submersible pressure sensors

Submersible sensors

Measuring pressure in underwater installations, measuring water levels in wells or ballast tanks, it can be done with submersible pressure sensors. These differ from other sensors in that they are waterproof and suitable for full immersion in liquid. These sensors are therefore often used with molded-on cables or special submersible connectors. These sensors are often placed at the bottom of a borehole, sewage well or ballast tank or liquid tank. A pressure measurement is used to determine the water level. Sometimes sensors are applied in a groundwater monitoring network. Especially for these applications, sensors have been developed with low energy consumption, so that a battery can be used for a long period of time.
